ISSHO promotion event at Crafthouse

ISSHO (pronounced (i-sh-oo) is a contemporay Japanese restaurant that is opening in Victoria Gate in June.  Personally, I can't wait!

It's owned by D&D London, so same as  Crafthouse - Angelica in Trinity, so we know the standards will be good, and  much like  Crafthouse Angelica, it will have a rooftop bar and outdoor terrace.

This week they are having some preview events at Crafthouse in Trinity where selected guests are being treated to a sneaky taste of Japan.

We were delighted to create some Japanese inspired floral displays for the Crafthouse private dining room to help create a Japanese ambience.

Adam and Jo Got Married!

Adam & Jo were married at Leeds Town Hall with the reception taking place at Hornington Manor.

Hornington Manor is quite a new wedding venue in Yorkshire and we LOVE it! We are proud to be one of their preferred suppliers.

Jo who runs the weddings is one of life’s gems. If you’ve met her you’ll understand why we say that, her smile is so warm & welcoming. You can find out more about Hornington in this link to their website.

We rise in lifting others. Featuring Eden Hessell, The Botanist, New Zealand.

Daisy Chain was established in 1984 and over the years we have had many delightful staff from all over the world. Interns from Holland, florists from South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark (to name a few!) and of course the UK.

At Daisy Chain we believe in allowing individuals to flourish and grow. There is no real hierarchy, with experienced florists sweeping the floor and trainees allowed to make exciting orders (under guidance of course). We instil a confidence into the team and many go on to achieve great things themselves.

Today we would like to celebrate Eden!

Eden Hessell, The Botanist, Auckland

Eden came to the UK with her partner who played rugby for Doncaster Dons and worked part time for us during 2008 & 2009. As with so many antipodeans, Eden was utterly charming! She also had a strong work ethic, great drive, a zest for life & we thoroughly enjoyed having her in the shop.

Today, Eden lives back in Auckland, is recently married and has a delightful son. We keep in touch via Facebook.

She has opened her own shop The Botanist, Auckland a cafe, bar & shop and in 2015 was voted BEST FLORIST IN AUCKLAND. A fabulous accolade which she certainly deserves.

Since then they have taken London by storm! Described in The Florist trade magazine as:

"A floral duo making waves and not just in the floristry world thanks to a flair in styling, design, couture and more. City dwellers with a penchant for English garden, London-based O&S have loose, natural style, and with a string of exciting projects under their belts they’re collecting recognition left, right and centre."
